Home Blues Jo Bloomfield Quintet – Sunday 7 December 2014

Jo Bloomfield Quintet – Sunday 7 December 2014

Jo Bloomfield Quintet entertained guests to an evening of fantastic music with a mix of jazz standards and rocking swing and blues. The crowd loved it.

The first set opened with Lady Be Good moving onto Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen and It Had to Be You which got the crowd settled in for what was going to be a great night of entertainment. Other stand outs during the evening were It Don’t Mean a Thing with a drum solo from Pat, Si Tu Vois Ma Mere featuring Bill Croft on Clarinet and Jo bringing the house down with Boogie Woogie.

There was a guest appearance from Kay on Accordion with Tico Tico and Flight of the Angels. I highly recommend that next time the Jo Bloomfield Quintet plays the Brisbane Jazz Club you join us, you will not be disappointed.

Jo Bloomfield – Piano, Peter Uppman – Trumpet and Vocals, Bill Croft – Reeds, Peter Freeman – Bass and Pat Robbins – Drums.
