GIG Review: Para Voce Thurs 18 June 2015

The first tune this fab band played immediately transported me to Paris, cruising down he Seine, the tune was so very French and romantic. As it turned out, it was the theme tune from “Midnight in Paris”!
This was followed by some beautiful Latin American tunes from Brazil,including an original composed by Mauricio Hosi.

It was a real treat for the good Thursday night crowd. The evening started with the John Hogan Quartet who played a lovely mix of laid back jazz tunes. Janet Seidel Trio – Bastille Day 14 July 2010

A hushed and crowded Brisbane Jazz Club celebrated the National Day of France by giving a rapturous welcome to one of the very few Francophile jazz artistes in Australia – the ever-popular Janet Seidel – ‘la belle Seidel’, accompanied by her brother David on bass, and Chuck Morgan on guitar.
