This fabulous ensemble has been captivating audiences with wonderful Brazilian sounds and rhythms for the past 18 years. Tonight at BJC they transported us to Rio through their new show “The Bossa Nova Sunset Club”. It’s wonderful to hear well known Latin songs sung with their original Portuguese lyrics.
Throughout the evening, the songs were interspersed with with funny tales from “Mad Couch’s” trips…

The first tune this fab band played immediately transported me to Paris, cruising down he Seine, the tune was so very French and romantic. As it turned out, it was the theme tune from “Midnight in Paris”!
This was followed by some beautiful Latin American tunes from Brazil,including an original composed by Mauricio Hosi.
The evening continued with a stream…

Coisa Linda – 8 May

This fab 5 piece band entertained the audience with a superb array of Brazilian music. It was easy to see that these musicians were efficionados of the wonderful Latin rhythms. The evening was filled with toe tapping sambas, bossa nova and Brazilian grove. It was lovely to here these Brazilian songs sung in the beautiful Portuguese language by Lucia who is a native of Brazil.
The songs were interspersed with interesting tidbits of explanation by Lucia. I haven’t heard Mas Que Nada sung so well since…
