The band opened the evening with a couple of standards by Miles Davis and Cole Porter followed by a fab arrangement of The Beatles “Norwegian Wood” arranged by Peter Walters.
Ross was brilliant on the BJC’s fab baby grand but also played some great tunes on the electric piano. Peter (as usual) played his bull fiddle ( bass – remember “Some like it Hot”) and electric bass with aplomb. The only musician that did not bring 2 instruments to the stage was Trent but he can be forgiven as he played fantastically on the drums.
This group blended superbly to bring a variety of jazz styles and tunes to the appreciative audience of 47 patrons. Featuring Trent on drums, Peter Walters on bass and Ross Nixon on piano.
