Talkin’ Jazz
Every month the Brisbane Jazz Club hosts Talkin’ Jazz, a high school music engagement program that facilitates the discovery of jazz, improvisation and performance techniques for young musicians.
Young musicians of all abilities are encouraged to participate in this inclusive program. Talkin’ Jazz workshops thrive on variety and celebrate self-expression.
Professional artists and educators facilitate the Talkin’ Jazz workshops, each bringing their own unique knowledge, expertise and experience across a range of instruments including the voice.
Talkin’ Jazz Jam SessionsThe Talkin’ Jazz Jam sessions occur once a month and are the ideal opportunity for young musicians and singers to learn about jazz, foster their creativity, meet like-minded individuals, form their own groups and get their own gigs! |
Talkin’ Jazz Performance IntensiveThe Talkin’ Jazz Performance Intensive is a once a year, two week workshop series that culminates with two back-to-back performances at the Brisbane Jazz Club in front of a real club audience. |
