About Membership
You too can support live jazz in Brisbane by becoming a member of the Brisbane
Jazz Club.
Members get reduced admission prices to all Club events as well as
benefits like special offers from partner organisations.
Club membership applies from 1 July each year to 30 June the next year.
Membership is always open, and a half-year's membership (at roughly half the
annual fee) is offered in the second half of the year.
Annual membership for the 2010-2011 year (1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011) will
open in early June 2010 and the
half-year membership will be offered from early December.
Members' admission prices will apply for events during the membership year, but
will not
overlap into previous or later years.
A Club membership card must be shown on entry to the Club or to receive any BJC
discounts offered by other organisations.

Dear Brisbane Jazz Club Members
The Brisbane Jazz Club has been the hub of jazz in Brisbane for the last 35
years. As a not-for-profit organisation with a large group of volunteers and
an honorary committee, it is a well run Club that is able to bring to it's
members some of the best live jazz available in Australia, at reasonable prices.
The benefits to members are many, including entry to the Club at reduced rates,
a secure on-line booking system, ample warning of special events, and the
privilege of being part of the best Jazz Club in Australia. We have at least
three nights a week of live jazz of all genres, and your membership costs can
be covered by coming to the Club for only 6 nights. From then on, you will be
saving. We support music for young musicians through our Talkin' Jazz
programme, and have two high schools that use our Club for their end of year
graduation performances.
We have a lease on our building and land, and parking is available on the
nights when we have performances. This is unique in Jazz Clubs, and with our
million dollar city views and location on the river with a deck that has the
river lapping at its wall, we have much to offer and at very affordable prices
Thank you for supporting your Club. We look forward to seeing you very soon

Renewing or Applying for Membership On Line
You can now "order" membership via our internet booking system. The system will
open for Membership for 2010-2011 (1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011) from early June
2010.
Ordering and paying for membership on-line is very similar to booking seats for
a Club night. As with bookings, there are some important little things to
observe as you go:-
-
Do SIGN IN (top right of the first screen) as a first step in the process to
ensure that the membership you buy
registers against your name.
-
If you haven't signed in before and don't have a
password, go to the LOGIN side of the page, enter your email address and click
"Returning customer, but no password yet?". Chances are we have your email
address in the system and it will then send you an email with a link to a page
where you can set up a password.
-
If we don't have your email address, you'll
need to CREATE NEW ACCOUNT on the right-hand side of the page. BUT...
-
If you
are sure we have your email address, or if you are a Club Member, it's best not
to create a new account. Contact us and we'll sort it out.
-
After you have completed your order, you will receive a membership card in the
mail. We might take a couple of weeks to post out your card, particularly early
in the
year when we will have many cards to process. Please be patient
-
Until you receive your card, your "Print At Home Ticket" will serve as an
interim membership card. You will also receive a "receipt" via email.
-
Please make sure we have your correct address. You can check your address in MY
ACCOUNT, the link for which appears at the top right of the screen after you
SIGN IN.
-
If you buy Family Membership, please check in MY ACCOUNT that the first names
of all the people to whom the membership will apply are in the FIRT NAME field.
When you buy Club Membership via our internet booking system, you are
registered as a Club Member in the system. So, when you next SIGN IN to make a
booking for a Club night, the system "offers" you member's price.
Remember, you must SIGN IN to make bookings. If you don't the system won't know
that you are a member and won't give you member's price.
