Atienne Bakker Quintet – Thurs 26 March 2015.

This was the debut performance at the BJC for Atienne, a very accomplished young guitarist, who was supported by of some of Brisbane’s finest musicians. The guys played a superb variety of contemporary jazz from the likes of such composers as Wes Montgomery, George Benson and John Scofield.
Throughout the sets there were some brilliant solos from all the players. Particularly impressive was when sax and guitar combined to play the melody in unison.

Queensland Conservatorium Saxophone Orchestra – 24 May 2012

There was more ‘sax on the river’ than has ever been seen or heard before when the QCSO took the stage at the BJC, along with two support bands – St Peters Lutheran Sax Ensemble and Brisbane Municipal Concert Band & Brisbane City Big Band ‘Stax of Sax’ players.
